Cotecna South Africa welcomes Zimbabwe Delegation

Cotecna South Africa recently had the honour of hosting a delegation from Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce as part of their annual CBCA audit. As an appointed body responsible for issuing CBCA certificates for regulated products destinated for Zimbabwe, Cotecna used this visit as an opportunity to showcase its expertise in testing, inspection and certification services.  

The delegation, which included Mr. Nefred Maparura, Mrs.  Clara Vuke, Mr. Bernard Chitema, and Mr. Alexi Dhlora, was warmly received by Nita Pieterse, Acting Country Manager for South Africa, alongside Virginie Laugier, Cotecna’s Director of Operations and Financial Controller for the Verification of Conformity (VOC) program. 

During their visit, the delegation attended comprehensive presentation on Cotecna’s inspection and certification processes, with a special focus on digital solutions. A live demonstration showcased innovative tools such as the Cotecna Eye and Onsight remote inspection tools. These tools allow real-time, live-streamed inspections worldwide offering business continuity. 

While Cotecna continues to expand its digital capabilities, physical inspections remain an integral part of its operations. Both remote and on-site inspections play a crucial role in ensuring product compliance by verifying quality, safety and conformity. 

Additionally, Cotecna introduced its customer portal, designed to make the certification process smoother by allowing clients to track their applications, request and manage their CBCA certificates with ease. 

The visit reaffirmed Cotecna’s commitment to innovation and compliance, strengthening its partnership with Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce while demonstrating its leadership in testing, inspection and certification.
