Côte d'Ivoire VOC Programme Scope Extended Effective 1 July 2026
The Ministry of Trade and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire has announced an extension of the products subject to the Verification of Conformity (VOC) Programme.
Effective for shipments with a Bill of Lading, transport of letter (Air, Sea, Road or Rail) dated 1 July 2026 or later, the Côte d'Ivoire VOC Programme scope has been expanded to cover the full list of products identified under Decrees 2026-1152 and 2020-389, including chemical products
This update represents an expansion of the existing programme and reflects the continued implementation of Côte d'Ivoire's conformity assessment framework for imported goods.
What is changing?
The updated scope significantly increases the number of products requiring a Certificate of Conformity (COC) prior to export to Côte d'Ivoire.
The expanded scope affects a broad range of product categories, including fertilizers, chemical preparations, electrical and electronic products, construction materials, machinery, automotive products, textiles, foods, health products and equipment, footwear and other consumer and industrial goods. The update includes:
- Products covered under the full Decree 2026 - 1152 list
- Chemical products under Decree 2020 – 389 list
Importers and exporters are encouraged to review the latest regulated product list to determine whether their products are now subject to VOC requirements before shipment.
