This collaboration was particularly crucial in addressing a recurring issue that threatened the integrity of P2O5 (phosphorus pentoxide) quality test results between the load port in Egypt and the discharge port in India.
Prior to this, there were some substantial discrepancies in P2O5 quality results. Despite some changes, the problem persisted, highlighting a systemic issue that required a thorough investigation.
Cotecna took the initiative to delve deeply into the causes of these discrepancies. A dedicated team of subject experts from Cotecna's Egypt laboratory and operations -travelled to India to observe the entire discharge operation, including sampling and testing processes. Concurrently, the experts from Cotecna India journeyed to Egypt to scrutinize the loading operations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the procedures involved.
Through this meticulous investigation, the teams discovered a critical oversight. The root cause of the quality discrepancies between test results at the Egyptian loading ports and the Indian discharge ports was identified by the team of experts at both ends.
Upon identifying and rectifying this issue, Cotecna implemented the P2O5 determination procedures. This adjustment led to a remarkable turnaround, resulting in nine consecutive years of flawless loading and discharge operations without any quality disputes or discrepancies for our valued customers.
This successful resolution not only restored client confidence but also established Cotecna as the preferred inspection company for rock phosphate shipments inspection from Egypt to India. The enhanced cooperation and synergy between Cotecna India and Egypt have set a new standard for quality assurance in the industry, ensuring reliable and accurate test results for all stakeholders involved.
