Cotecna Peru Optimizes Its Central Laboratory

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and optimization of our services, Cotecna del Peru has implemented significant improvements at its Central Laboratory in Lima. The installation of a new drying oven and the strategic relocation of the spray system are part of a series of initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency and strengthening customer service in the mining sector.

Recognizing that customer satisfaction is a key factor in the industry, we have carried out a thorough analysis of its internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement. As a result, we have added a sample drying oven with a capacity of 100 trays, representing a 29% increase in its daily processing capacity. In addition, we have strategically relocated our four ring sprayers into three independent cabins, each equipped with inspection windows and hydraulic arms, allowing for agile pot changes and thus optimizing workflow. 

These improvements not only optimize the use of equipment, but also reduce result delivery times, ensuring faster and more accurate analysis. Likewise, the new organizational scheme will facilitate more fluid and effective communication between the different areas involved in customer service, ensuring an agile and efficient response. 

As part of this modernization, we have also inaugurated a new 500 m² fine and coarse sample warehouse, equipped with all the necessary facilities for the correct loading, unloading, storage and mobilization of samples under the "Samples in Custody" modality. This new space has the required environmental, legal and safety permits and accreditations, reinforcing regulatory compliance and safety in the handling of samples. 

At the same time, specialized training has been carried out for the work team, focused on strengthening communication skills, management of complex situations and the use of technological tools to improve operational efficiency. This investment in professional development underlines Cotecna's commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
