Cotecna signs CBCA contracts with Zimbabwe

We are pleased to inform you that the Zimbabwe Ministry of Industry and Commerce has appointed Cotecna to issue Certificates of Conformity on its behalf. On 8 March 2022, Cotecna signed four Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) contracts with the ministry in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The contracts were signed by the Hon. Permanent Secretary of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Dr Mavis Sibanda and by Cotecna’s Vice President Lena Sodergren.

Cotecna will now be conducting verification of conformity services for the following CBCA (VOC) programmes:

• General Goods
• Used Motor Vehicles and spare parts
• Consolidated Shipments
• Destination Inspections

In addition, Cotecna will be supporting the ministry to build the competence through training and capacity building.
