Cotecna supports Zimbabwe initiative Chipo Chemawoko

Cotecna Inspection is pleased to provide its support for local Zimbabwean initiative Chipo Chemawoko. As part of this CSR initiative, Cotecna has sponsored and helped developed a new website for the grassroot project. Chipo Chemawoko focuses on empowering deaf women to create and sell unique handcrafted products.

Chipo Chemawoko is a Shona phrase and translates to gifted hands. Founder and CEO Rutendo Zireva explains how the name is a tribute to the women in the community that not only use their hands to create but also to communicate.

Cotecna is accredited by the Zimbabwe government to offer testing, inspection and certification services, issuing Certificates of Conformity as part of CBCA programme. As an organization, Cotecna is committed to corporate social responsibility and giving back to the community in which we operate.
