Cotecna trains AGANOR agents on HACCP assessment

Cotecna recently trained 19 Gabonese government agents on HACCP Risk Assessment and Capacity Building as part of the ongoing COTECNA-AGANOR partnership.

Cotecna conducted a HACCP risk assessment and capacity building training for 19 participants, comprising mostly of Gabonese government agents from AGANOR. The training was held in Libreville, Gabon from 16 to 17 September 2021.

Cotecna trained the AGANOR agents to implement a 7 principle based approach to assessing HACCP hazard and critical control for safe food manufacturing. This HACCP method makes it possible to anticipate food safety risks and take preventive measures.

AGANOR (Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation) is the National Bureau of Standard in Gabon, responsible for standardisation, conformity assessment and metrology. AGANOR is operating the PROGEC (Programme Gabonais d’évaluation de la Conformité) a conformity programme which regulates products imported into Gabon. Cotecna is authorised by AGANOR to issue Certificates of Conformity for all the products regulated under PROGEC.
