Exporting LPG into Zimbabwe: What You Need to Obtain a CBCA Certificate
If you are exporting Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to Zimbabwe, securing a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) under the Consignment-Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) program is mandatory. This certificate confirms that your fuel product complies with Zimbabwe standards before it enters the country.
CBCA Documentation Requirements for LPG Exports
To obtain a CBCA certificate for LPG, exporters must provide the following documentation:
- Complete the Request for Certification (RFC) Form
This form should detail the importer's/exporter’s information, product description, and shipment details. - Commercial Invoice
It must include the transaction value and technical specifications of the LPG. - ISO Certificates (if available)
These should be held by the manufacturer or exporter to confirm adherence with international standards. - Quality document such as Valid Test Reports or Certificate of Analysis
These documents must be submitted every three months to ensure continued compliance with standards. - Final Weighbridge Ticket
Required at the final stage before the CoC is issued, confirming the quantity and weight of the shipment - Road Manifest
Should detail the transportation route and logistics for traceability. - Importer’s Business Partner Number (BPN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN)
This allows regulatory bodies to verify the legitimacy of the importing entity.
