Strengthening Connections Across Our South African Operations

At the end of July, our team in South Africa had the opportunity to welcome Mark Houchin, Director of Metals & Minerals, as part of his ongoing commitment to staying closely connected with our operations and people across the Cotecna network.

Accompanied by Sabelo Mkhabela, Business Operations Manager South Africa, Mark visited each of our mine site laboratories, as well as our commercial laboratory in Middelburg. The purpose of the visit was to gain a firsthand understanding of day-to-day operations, meet with team members, and discuss opportunities and challenges across the business.

The visit provided valuable insight into the expertise that supports our Metals & Minerals operations. Beyond the laboratory environment, Mark had the opportunity to engage with colleagues across Finance, Health & Safety, and Human Resources, recognising the important role these functions play in enabling operational excellence and supporting our teams on the ground.

Throughout the visit, Mark was met by the professionalism, dedication, and collaborative spirit demonstrated by employees across all locations.
