Successful launch of Cotecna's risk management system in Gabon

Last week, Cotecna officially launched the implementation of the CRMS® our automated risk management system within the Gabonese Customs environment.

A post roll-out ceremony took place at the Gabonese Customs in the presence of the Deputy Director General of Gabonese Customs, Mrs. Maryse Patricia NKOMA, as well as the Customs project team, Mr. Demba Diallo, Country Manager and Mr. Ismael Kafando, Product Manager Risk Management.

This event was an opportunity to honor the involvement and dedication that the members of the customs team have shown throughout the deployment of the solution in the customs environment.

Demba Diallo Country Manager Gabon said that "The World Customs Organization has dedicated the year 2022 to "Accelerate the digital transformation of Customs by developing a data culture and a performing ecosystem". The implementation of CRMS® software in Gabon is a major achievement for Customs in facilitating trade, fighting fraud, and securing borders and is fully in line with this 2022 theme."

CRMS® is a state-of-the-art tool developed by Cotecna to automatically assess the risks associated with each declaration and recommend appropriate levels of control. Its operation within Gabonese Customs will enable better management of the flow of goods entering Gabon, both to ensure better fluidity in customs clearance while preventing fraud and thus securing Customs revenues.
