Zimbabwean MoIC Delegation Visits Cotecna Kenya

Cotecna Kenya had the honour of hosting a delegation from Zimbabwe's Ministry of Industry and Commerce for their annual technical assessment. The delegation included Mrs. P. Chikuvanyanga, the Ministry's Research Officer, and Mr. W. Uta, the Ministry's Economist. They were warmly received by Cotecna's Country Manager, Mr. Wesley Aondo.

The primary purpose of this visit was to showcase Cotecna's comprehensive Verification of Conformity (VOC) process. The delegation was given an in-depth tour, covering each critical step from testing and inspection to certification. This hands-on experience is crucial for fostering transparency and strengthening the partnership between Cotecna and the Ministry, particularly in the implementation of the Zimbabwean CBCA (Consignment-Based Conformity Assessment) program.

The visit provided the delegation with a clear understanding of the certification process for the Zimbabwe CBCA regulated products.

Cotecna looks forward to more such visits in the future, which are essential for continuous improvement and partnership in the CBCA process.
