G-Mark Regulated Products Overview

The G-Mark is a mandatory compliance requirement for several product groups placed on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market. Electrical equipment, toys, and specific water‑related products must follow the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) regulations to ensure safety, performance, and consumer protection.
Cotecna is a notified body by GSO to issue a G-Mark certificate for all regulated products under G-Mark including GSO LVEs, GSO toys and GSO WER (Water Efficiency and Rationalization)
Manufacturers, traders, and importers must confirm whether their products fall within the GSO-regulated categories. Certain electrical items are classified under Low Voltage Equipment (LVE), which may require either simplified or full conformity procedures depending on the category assigned by GSO.
