Depending on the applicable regulatory framework, products may be subject to conformity assessment under the ECAS or EQM schemes, while certain categories may be exempt from certification.

Important Notice

Following an extension of Cotecna Dubai's approved notification scope with the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MOIAT) in August 2026, additional product categories have been added under both the Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) and the Emirates Quality Mark (EQM) schemes.

The expanded scope now includes additional food products, consumer goods, textiles, lighting products, and other regulated categories, further strengthening Cotecna's ability to support manufacturers, exporters, importers, and brand owners seeking access to the UAE market.
